In a Meter Network, the security appliance is the center point of ingress and egress through which all packets flow. The controller is responsible for routing traffic between the WAN, LAN, and VLANs. It orchestrates network configuration, VLAN tagging (802.1Q), client VPN, firewall (ACLs), access point provisioning, wireless and switch configuration, and communication between Meter devices and the Meter Cloud.
