2023 Year in review

To close out 2023, we reviewed what we launched over the past year. We are grateful for everyone who supported Meter over the past year so we could provide better, faster, and more secure networks.

An all new Meter Dashboard

• This year, we've evolved the Meter Dashboard to become a single pane of glass for your entire network. It now provides deeper insights into your network's performance and finer-grained controls, including:

Maintenance windows

• Schedule your preferred times for automatic software upgrades to minimize disruptions to your network and operations.

Configuration tools

• More direct control over your network, manage SSIDs, rename clients, pin static IPs, get visibility into VLANs, and set up port forwarding rules.

Network insights

• Run speed tests, instantly get a bird's eye view into your network’s health, and look at its historical performance over the last 30 days, all connected to real-time data from your network.

End-to-end network topology

• A visual representation of your entire network. From ISPs to controllers to switches to access points, you have one-click access to more detailed information on each piece.

Navigation tools

• Universal search, dark mode, mobile browser support, and a hub for customers with multiple Meter Networks.

ISP procurement and visibility

• See details of all your existing WAN connections and procure new ones, all in one place.

• With Network as a Service, you don't have to worry about hardware, firmware, or software upgrades. The latest is always included in your monthly price. Here are some of the 2023 upgrades we made to your networks:

MultiWAN

• Leverage multiple ISPs with equal uplink speeds simultaneously. It enhances Meter Network's WAN failover system by intelligently distributing network traffic among all active connections using a round-robin algorithm.

Wi-Fi 6 Access Points

• Our 8th generation of APs that enable Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), improving speed, efficiency, and reliability of networks, especially in high-density environments. Optimized for both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Enterprise security to protect your company

• Security is foundational to everything we do as a networking company. This year, we made big improvements to our security features and certifications:

DNS Security in partnership with Cloudflare

• Allowing you to improve security and compliance by blocking threats and unwanted content.

802.1X

• An additional layer of security for both wired and wireless connections (through WPA2-Enterprise) compatible with all RADIUS providers.

VPNs

• Client VPNs for remote employee access, site-to-site VPNs for connecting multiple locations, and IPsec for connecting to services like AWS.

SOC 2 Type II compliance

• This report validates, through an independent third party, that Meter holds itself to the highest standards for protecting your information.

SSO

• Admins can manage dashboard access with Microsoft Azure, Okta, or any SSO provider that supports the SAML standard.
